Caerphilly (west)

Caerphilly Common ST15-85- A good site for several species preferring higher ground.
                                       Looking south to towards Cardiff & Bristol Channel
                                          Looking west towards the Taff Valley
Looking north towards Caerphilly town & Mynydd Dimlaith

Parc Penallta near Ystrad Mynach
Good for upland species

Rhaslas Pond
The upland body of water, which is under threat of development, has produced some excellent birds, especially wader passage in spring & autumn. Also good for white-winged gulls and grebes.
